Do you own a Fiat? Protect your pride and joy. |

Good morning,
Recently, we have noticed a increase in the number of vehicle crimes in your area for Fiat's. Specifically the Fiat 500. This post is let you know what extra steps you can take to your protect pride and joy.
Below are some crime prevention tips on how to make your car as secure as possible.
Upgrade your vehicle alarm and surveillance. Invest in an aftermarket tracker, immobiliser and a Milenco bar steering lock, this will help deter an attack. Keep your car keys in a faraday pouch, somewhere safe and out of site. Consider further security measures to your property.
Where possible, park in a secure garage, or block in your car with another at the property. Park in an area that is covered by dusk till dawn lighting and CCTV surveillance. This is a deterrent as well as making it easier to spot potential offenders.
Always lock your vehicle. Never leave insecure and always press the button twice, as some models require this to set the alarm.
If you see something say something. Please report any suspicious behaviour you believe to be important to us. You can submit this information through this post, Crime stoppers or call 101.
If you would like any further security advice, please email us on CalderdaleCPO@westyorkshire.police.uk.
